Since 2005 the Lincolnshire Wolds Walking Festival has been able to provide great walking experiences for free. Like many non-profit organisations we have found it tough going in recent years, as funding gets harder to find. Further to feedback from walkers and walk leaders last year, we have introduced charges for some of our festival walks in 2017, in order to raise money to fund future editions of LWWF. Just under 60% of our walks will still be FREE but we are inviting you to donate what you can afford on these walks. We appreciate every penny that you give to the festival and hope that you understand the need for this approach.
Where walks are ticketed, they will cost £2 (for walks up to 3 miles) £3 (for walks from 3+ to 8 miles) or £5 (for walks 8+ miles). ALL UNDER 18s GO FREE! There are also a small handful of other charge levels, where transport, food or specialist training is involved. You can purchase some tickets online (where your place doesn't need to be booked with the walk leader), just click on the 'buy' button at the bottom of the walk listing on the WALKS page. You can also buy a pre-paid ticket card (see below) or just bring cash on the day.
To save money, you can buy a ticket card in advance. Ticket cards cost £10 (for 5 walks), £20 (for 12 walks) and £30 (for unlimited walks) and can be used on all ticket walks costing £2, £3 or £5. For instance you could buy a £10 ticket and go on five walks costing £5 each, making a saving of £15! Simply click on the Ticket Card purchase button on the homepage or send us a cheque (made out to Heritage Lincolnshire) to LWWF, Navigation Warehouse, Riverhead Road, Louth LN11 0DA.
